In 2008, Jyoti married Sanandan Sudhir, who was working at GE Healthcare and was a key person in setting up their design studio. Jyoti & Sanandan together began analyzing the global innovation ecosystem.
While doing their in-depth research, they found that the top global economies are invention-based and despite having the best of the brains in India, most intellectual property is owned by Europe and the US due to high paying jobs and other essential facilities. This situation and analysis made the duo to realize the importance of the “Systematic Innovation” mindset which is way ahead of the “Indian Jugaad”—working with limited resources.
Therefore, with a mission to put India on the Global Innovation Map, Jyoti and Sanandan co-founded InventIndia Innovations in 2011 based on their prior experience as well as deep market analysis. They left their high paying jobs to pursue their passion and dream of becoming innovative entrepreneurs. Today, at Invent India Innovations, Jyoti handles the company Strategy & Administration while Sanandan assures timely Project Execution.
