Can monitor eight people from up to 18 feet away

During this COVID uncertainty, businesses are in the urge of innovations that make things easier and more efficient. Technologies that can help facilities achieve zero COVID-19 infections. Infra-red/AI technology, created by Canadian company Longan Vision in partnership with Convergence Health Care Solutions (CHCS), is the need for the hour. The tech enables distanced temperature taking at a number of facilities in the GTA, including long term care (LTC) facility in Markham, Canada.

Along with its own proprietary remote monitoring system, CHCS has had this technology already in operation at the Mon Sheong LTC facility in Markham, ON, helping the facility achieve zero COVID-19 infections.

AI Smart Vision

The technology bundle of two infra-red cameras with computer interface enables the reception desk in any building to take the temperature of visitors up to eight people and residents from up to 18 feet (5.4metres) away, clearly displaying the temperature of all the people measured within its capture radius. This platform will make invasive, handheld thermometers obsolete.

A live media demonstration on Jasmine Wang, CHCS Founder, was held at the Mon Sheong LTC facility in Markham on August 20th at 11 am.

COVID Solution

The technology provides enhanced vision and information sharing abilities that will allow the reception desk to monitor every visitor passes through the facility. It provides peace of mind for staff, residents, and visitors alike, and saves nurses and PSW (personal support worker) time.

CHCS was created to provide innovative solutions for seniors which include an IoT(Internet of Things) system that can constantly monitor to detect falls, sudden changes in heart rate, blood oxygen level, or distress calls providing ample time for effective assistance for LTC residents.

On the other hand, Longan Vision specializes in applying thermal imaging hardware and optical technologies to provide robust, state-of-the-art solutions.
