Maruti Suzuki India’s two-car variants come with a price range of INR 4.84 lakh and INR 4.89 lakh
Maruti Suzuki India (MSI), a leading Indian automobile manufacturer has unveiled WagonR S-CNG in the market. It is available in two variants i.e. LXI and LXI (O), priced at INR 4.84 lakh and INR 4.89 lakh respectively. Moreover, it will be sold in Delhi-NCR, Gujarat, Mumbai, Pune, parts of Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh as these states have suitable CNG fuel infrastructure.
WagonR S-CNG offers a mileage of 33.54 km/kg.
The new WagonR comes with two petrol engine options: 1.0-litre and 1.2-litre. Furthermore, the engine has been carried over from the last-generation WagonR and was available with the CNG option previously as well. With CNG, the 1.0-liter engine produces 59PS of power and 78Nm of torque, which is similar to what it produces in the CNG versions of the Alto K10 and Celerio. The new car has a fuel economy claimed at 33.54 km/kg. Along with that, the 2019 WagonR S-CNG is 26 percent more fuel efficient than the outgoing WagonR CNG.
RS Kalsi, Senior Executive Director, Marketing and Sales at MSI, stated: “With WagonR S-CNG, customers will be able to enjoy the benefit of 26 percent better fuel economy than the outgoing WagonR CNG and superior technology which is safe, reliable and environment-friendly.”
WagonR S-CNG Features
The vehicle has features such as a driver airbag, ABS with EBD, front seatbelt reminder, speed alert system, rear parking sensors, roof antenna, body-colored bumpers, and manual AC and front power windows. The LXI (O) variant, however, gets extra features like a co-driver airbag and front seatbelts with pre-tensioners and load limiters.
The dual ECU with an intelligent gas port injection system delivers a calibrated quantity of fuel to the engine, leading to more efficient fuel usage, active pickup and superior drivability in a new vehicle. The factory-fitted design, along with anti-corrosion stainless steel components, provides better safety. For more convenience, there is an automatic fuel change over switch and a fuel level indicator.
