Helio G90 series set to change the gaming world
MediaTek recently launched its smartphone edition, Helio G90 series of (SoCs) system on chips especially dedicated to gaming phones and gaming enthusiasts. This series consists of two chipsets namely Helio G90 and Helio G90T which will be installed in the upcoming budgeted gaming smartphones.
MediaTek, a Taiwanese company, in an event, displayed that its Helio G90T superpowers the newly launched gaming-oriented Snapdragon 730 and Snapdragon 730G SoCs with three percent and seven percent rise in AnTuTu performance scores.
On GeekBench 4.1, the new Helio chipset gives 10 percent better results as compared to Snapdragon 730g and nine percent better than Snapdragon 730.
Both the newly launched MediaTek processors, Helio G90- and Helio G90T have a 12nm FinFET design and come with octa-core CPU that includes ARM Cortex A76 and Cortex-A55 cores at a maximum clock speed of 2.05GHz.
Both these processors are also equipped with a Mali-G76 GPU with support for 10GB of LPDDR4x RAM.

And for all the photography enthusiasts, the Helio G90 series will be able to support 24MP+16MP setup or a single 64MP camera unit or Quad/Triple camera capable. Along with this system, the camera will also have an integrated hardware depth engine and Video recording up to 240fps. It will also support the night shot mode.
All the latest products by MediaTek will support dual voice assistants – Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa with dual wake up command. Due to its Hyper Engine Game feature in the chipset, it enables smooth transition when moving to and fro between Wi-Fi and cellular networks.
The G90 series supports dual-band Wi-Fi, which enables it to connect both 2.4GHz and 5 GHz, Wi-Fi bands.
Additional features adding value to the processor Along with all the above-listed features, the G90 series also includes better data upon call receiving, reduced touch response delay, and HDR10 support. The HDR10 standard provides 10-bit color depth on support hardware.
