Realme plans to expand offline presence in India, aims to cover 150 cities in 2019

The offline retailers will be known as ‘REAL Partners’ and intend value addition to the customer experience.

The China-based handset maker, Realme, has recently announced its plans to expand offline sales in India to 150 cities in 2019. The young business entity has reported to achieve it in a phased manner, starting with 10 cities in January. It will also set up 20,000 outlets across the country where it plans to sell all Realme phones that the brand has launched. The company has launched Realme 1, Realme 2, Realme 2 Pro, Realme C1 and Realme U1 models in 2018.

Debuted in early 2018, Realme, started as an online-exclusive brand that sold phones on Amazon India and Flipkart. So far, it has collaborated with Reliance stores for offline sales of its smartphones. As part of that partnership, Realme smartphones have been getting sold at more than 130 cities across over 1,300 Reliance Digital and My Jio stores.

The expansion aims to elevate the customer experience

Strengthening our commitment, we are expanding our footprints to meet the rapidly growing customer demands. With the new offline store, we are extending our sales channels reaching out to our offline customers in every region. This is the extension of our sales strategy and the ultimate target of —Realme for Every Indian.”

In the first year itself, the company has seen a lot of success, especially with regards to online sales. Lately, the company announced that during its first sale, it sold 2 lakh units of the Realme U1, a selfie-centric smartphone.

Realme has reported to kick-start the year 2019 with the launch of a brand new A-series. As per reports, the company is planning to launch the Realme A1 budget smartphone, which is tipped to be priced cheaper than the Realme U1. The Realme A1 is said to come with a waterdrop display, dual rear cameras, and a Helio P70 chipset.
