Samsung to reveal the next chip for mid-range Galaxy phones!

Follow Us:

Samsung is excited to unveil some of the newest couple of chipsets in this month of November. These chips will be the processors that it will use in their upcoming phones which will be released in the year 2021. Samsung confirmed the existence of Exynos 1080 a few weeks back.

The company has now confirmed the date for the debut of this chipset and that it will be the fastest and a high-performance processor.

What interests the public more is that this chipset will not be used in the Galaxy21 Series!

Samsung confirmed the news of Exynos 1080 featuring both the ARM’s latest Cortex-A78 CPU cores and the Mali-G78 GPU. ARM is sure that the Cortex-A78 boasts a 20 percent increase in the performance rate in comparison with the Cortex-A77. It is also known that this 5nm chip will consist of an in-built 5G modem.

This Exynos 1080 chipset made an appearance on AnTuTu where it scored 693,600 points, which outscored both the Snapdragon 865 and Snapdragon 865+ flagship chipsets.

Exynos 1080 is definitely believed to the successor of Exynos 980, which was released as a 5G chipset last year for the mid-range Galaxy mobile phones.  It’s used in the Galaxy A51 5G as well as in the Galaxy A71 5G.

When is it launching?

Through Samsung’s official Weibo account, it has officially announced that the chipset will be launched on the 12th of November, 2020 via a press conference in Shanghai, China. Samsung has not confirmed which devices will be using this chipset but we can keep an eye out for it to be formally announced.
