Xiaomi claims that Mi 9 is the “best looking Mi phone till date”, sporting a triple camera setup
The Mi 9 smartphone unveiling has been set for February 20th, ahead of the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2019 extravaganza in Barcelona. The debut of the new smartphone will take place in Beijing, China. The smartphone carries the code name “battle angel,” is said to be Xiaomi’s best-looking smartphone till now. Xiaomi will be launching the Mi 9 flagship phone on the very same day when Samsung will be unleashing its Galaxy S10 series of flagship phones as well as its first foldable smartphone.

Processors and Fast charging battery: The phone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC. It will support 3,500mAh battery life with 27W fast charging technology.
Operating system: Xiaomi Mi 9 will be running on MIUI 10 operating system, based on Android 9 Pie.
Camera feature: Xiaomi Mi 9 will sport a triple camera setup on the back with a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor, a 12-megapixel secondary sensor, and a 3D ToF sensor. The smartphone is also supposed to pack a 24-megapixel Sony IMX576 sensor at the front.
Design: The smartphone is said to come with a design that will be similar to OnePlus 6T and the back panel would be like the one present in Huawei P20 Pro.
Display: The smartphone will feature a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen. Besides that, it is backed by a waterdrop-style notch and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Wang Teng Thomas, Xiaomi’s Product Director, stated, “Xiaomi will be designed by the same executive who had created the Xiaomi Mi 6 in 2017. The Mi 6 features a quad-curved glass rear with mirror finish. Probably, the Mi 9 will be equipped with a similar design.”

The Xiaomi Mi 9 is only one of the many interesting projects that the company is said to be working on. The smartphone will be debut as a mainstream consumer-oriented product. It is right now working on a foldable smartphone, and even issued a statement explaining the painstaking development and innovation process.
